GREEK MECHANICAL SPARK ROBOT

This is one of the most enigmatic robots.

While it is not known who built this robot,it is marked in the back "Patras-Made in Greece".

It is tin plated with plastic arms and chest panel,and features some amazing glossy litho with excellent blend of colors,strong wind up mechanism, forward action movement and sparks in chest..

The Patras robot is clearly based on the Japanese original Noguchi Sparkling Robot,with plastic arms instead of the tinplate ones, this robot is one of the very limited range of tinplate toys made in Greece in the 1960s.

His arms are actually more attractive than those of the Japanese original...
