Another one-off manufacturer, Marumiya, produced this impressive robot with a surprise action. It's usual for innocent looking toys to shock the observer with monster heads and the like.
Marumiya achieve their effect by inverting the process: a monsters head opens to reveal a friendly little astronaut below.
The
robot has vivid, eye-catching green litho with multicoloured highlights. The
arms are blue vinyl.
A very expensive acquisition for your collection!
